Hi, my name is Paul OConnor
I have been fishing the south Wales coast for over 30 years, it all started when my father used to take my brother and I to gold cliff and st. brides where, if we were lucky we would catch the odd flounder or pouting. Then as we learned a bit we progressed to Barry or even amroth and the tenby area where we started catching the odd bass.
But for the last15 years I have owned several small boats and really have got to know the area very well and have enjoyed some outstanding catches, including cod to 20lb,conger to nearly 40lb,bass to just under double figures and several 50lb + tope
Now most of my summer fishing is concentrated on bass fishing with live baits around the Gower coast then in winter my attention turns to the cod fishing off penarth, Newport or Swansea
